In council with Queen Ashe and many other leaders of Ivalice, Warden Commander Cousland explained the threats of darkspawn and the Blight, and asked to recruit new Grey Wardens to help fight it. Meanwhile, strange new creatures were emerging from caves all throughout Ivalice, threatening the population and ruining the land. ![]() After several months of tracking the horde, the Wardens emerged in a distant and foreign land: the Westersand Desert outside the city of Rabanastre. ![]() Previously on Wardens of Ivalice: When most of the darkspawn disappeared from the lands of Thedas, Elissa Cousland, Warden Commander of Amaranthine, was charged to take her Grey Wardens into the Deep Roads to follow. Since I've been working on this for so long, many key parts of this story was written and plotted before DA:I was announced, much less out, so it does not necessarily comply with DA:I canon. Many, many thanks to justira for an excellent and thorough beta, and to everyone who read Part One and expressed excitement every time I mentioned that I was working on this sequel. While not complete (I think I always knew in my heart that this story would be a trilogy), I have every intention of getting the third installment done much more quickly. I never expect it to take me over five years to write Part Two of Wardens of Ivalice, but I never gave up on it, either, and here we are.
